What You Need to Know
VUSD’s Robotics CTE track offers students (9th grade and up) a fast-track to a degree and career in the big-growth, high-tech industry of robotics and robotics engineering. Students learn a wide range of skills and dive deep into several disciplines in this Ventura High School-based program — including robotics, engineering, programming, business and marketing, manufacturing, industrial design, and more. The class is run in a fashion similar to a working small business, providing students with a true advantage and edge as they prepare for an exciting career in a fast-growing field. Additionally, students benefit from a strong connection to a wide range of local robotics-related businesses and projects, with the marketing and business-focused students tasked with expanding this network. The class also ventures out to exciting, informative off-site experiences such as robotics competitions and trade shows. Robotics is an industry that is aggressively expanding year-to-year, and the experience provided in this program can lead to a wide range of career opportunities in various industries, including programming, manufacturing, electronic engineering, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and more.
